On Saturday, May 2, 2026, with the blessing of Metropolitan Daniel of Accra, Côte d’Ivoire and Mali, the Holy Mysteries of Baptism and Chrismation were solemnly celebrated for four catechumens at the Parish of Saint Maximus the Confessor in Bingerville, Côte d’Ivoire.
The Holy Mysteries were officiated by Archimandrite Chrysostomos Kamwanga, Preacher of the Holy Metropolis; Protopresbyter Fr. Joseph Zein Hassan, Secretary General of the Holy Metropolis; and Deacon Fr. Iakovos.
The newly illumined members of the same family received the names Deborah, Maria, John, and Elias, thus becoming members of the Orthodox Church.
