With the blessing of Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, and by decision of Metropolitan Daniel of Accra, the following administrative decisions are hereby announced:
1. It has been decided to ordain to the Holy Priesthood the two Deacons of the Holy Metropolis of Accra in Ghana: Archdeacon Fr. Dimitrios Abegya and Deacon Fr. Dionysios Edugyan Abeka.
The ordinations will take place as follows:
- Fr. Dimitrios will be ordained on Sunday, 19 July 2026, at the Holy Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Our Saviour Jesus Christ in Accra.
- Fr. Dionysios will be ordained on Sunday, 26 July 2026, at the Church of Saints Charalambos and George in Adeiso.
Effective 1 August 2026:
- Fr. Dimitrios is appointed Parish Priest of the Parish of Saint James the Brother of the Lord in Gomoa Afransi.
- Fr. Dionysios is appointed Parish Priest of the Parishes of Saints Charalambos and George in Adeiso and Saint Thomas the Apostle in Domeabra.
2. It has been decided to ordain Mr. Emmanuel Agyekum, from the Parish of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Kasoa (Accra), to the Holy Diaconate and to appoint him as Deacon of the same parish.
3. The Very Reverend Archimandrite Fr. Aidesios Mukeke Mabedi is appointed Preacher of the Holy Metropolis of Accra for Ghana.
4. Effective 1 August 2026, Protopresbyter Fr. Alexios Abeka Edugyan, Parish Priest of Saint Mark the Evangelist in Agona Swedru, is appointed Vicar General of the Holy Metropolis of Accra.
Finally, it is announced that further clergy appointments and transfers within the parishes of the Holy Metropolis of Accra will be announced during the next Clergy Conference.
