The ordination of the newly elected Archbishop of Sinai, Pharan, and Raitho, Symeon, took place in Jerusalem with the participation of a large congregation. The ceremony was presided over by Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem.
Representing the Greek Government were the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georgios Gerapetritis, and the Secretary-General for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Georgios Kalantzis.
According to ecclesiastical protocol, the Patriarchal procession arrived at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where the Service of Ordination and the Divine Liturgy were celebrated, with Patriarch Theophilos III officiating.
Following the Divine Liturgy, in the Throne Hall of the Patriarchate, Patriarch Theophilos addressed the new Archbishop, who in turn delivered his response. The ceremony concluded with a greeting from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georgios Gerapetritis.
