On October 23 the elected Bishop Pagkratios of Arsinoe will give the Formal Election Announcement (Mega Minima) at the Cathedral of St. John the Theologian in Nicosia and on October 24 his ordination will take place, according to the announcement of the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus.

Bishop Pagkratios of Arsinoe was born in the village of Gerakies in the Province of Nicosia, on April 17, 1963. He studied at the Department of Physics and Mathematics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
In November 1992 he became a probationary monk at the Holy Monastery of Trooditissa. On May 2, 1993 he was ordained a deacon and on August 6 of the same year he was ordained a hieromonk by the then Metropolitan of Paphos and now Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II.
On May 26, 2019, he was ordained an Archimandrite and was enthroned Abbot of the Holy Chrysoroyiatissa Monastery.
The Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus, on September 9, 2020, elected him unanimously, following a proposal by the Metropolitan of Paphos, as Bishop of Arsinoe.
