The ordination of the newly elected Bishop of Apollonias, Ioakeim, who will be the assistant bishop to the Metropolis of Belgium, was held on Sunday, January 26, at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Brussels.
Metropolitan Kyrillos of Kifissia presided over the Orthros service and Metropolitan Athinagoras of Belgium presided over the Archieratic Divine Liturgy, with the participation of many clergymen.
The new Bishop of Apollonias, Ioakeim Archontos, was elected assistant bishop to the Metropolis of Belgium on January 9, 2020, by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
