Ontario Liberal MPP Jonathan Tsao paid a visit to Archbishop Sotirios at the offices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada.
The meeting was of a spiritual—not political—nature. The MPP, who recently visited Mount Athos and several Orthodox monasteries, toured the Archdiocese premises and was informed about its history and mission by the Archbishop.
As a gesture of hospitality, Archbishop Sotirios presented Mr. Tsao with a selection of books, including a copy of the Orthodox Catechism, authored by the Archbishop himself.
The visit highlighted a growing interest in spiritual and religious life among young public officials.
