Following the election of the new Metropolitans Alexios of Dryinoupolis, Pogoniani and Konitsa and Pavlos of Corinth by the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece, the official Declaration ceremony took place today, Friday, November 7, 2025, before the President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas.
The ceremony was attended by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Sofia Zacharaki, and the Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod, Bishop Ioannis of Skiathos.
The enthronement ceremony of Metropolitan Pavlos of Corinth will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Metropolitan Church of Saint Paul in Corinth.
The enthronement of Metropolitan Alexios of Dryinoupolis, Pogoniani and Konitsa is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Metropolitan Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Delvinaki, followed by a ceremony at 12:30 p.m. at the Church of Saint Kosmas of Aetolia in Konitsa.
