A signing ceremony for a series of agreements between Greece and France took place at Maximos Mansion, beginning with the enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, signed by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Additional agreements were signed by the competent ministers of the two countries, including the renewal of the strategic partnership for cooperation in defense and security between Greece and France, a roadmap to strengthen cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, and a Joint Declaration of Intent to enhance bilateral cooperation in vocational education, training, and lifelong learning.
The agreements also include an Action Plan for strengthening cooperation in higher education and scientific research for the period 2026–2030, as well as a Joint Declaration of Intent establishing cooperation in the field of nuclear technology between the relevant ministries.
Furthermore, an agreement was signed for the establishment of an intergovernmental organization for the development and operation of digital ocean systems and information services, along with a Declaration of Intent for cooperation in research and development in the defense sector and innovation in defense and military technologies.
Finally, a Framework Agreement was concluded for the continued support of MICA IR/RF missiles, along with the first implementing contract for 2026 between the Ministry of National Defense of the Hellenic Republic and MBDA France.
