The problems of the Greek minority in Albania and the need to address them were the main issues that were discussed during the meeting of Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias with the presidents and members of the Democratic Union of National Greek Minority (DEEM)/Omonoia and the Unity for Human Rights Party (KEAD) delegations. During the meeting at the Foreign Ministry, Nikos Dendias sent the message that Greece is always by the side of the Greek national minority in Albania.
“I received the presidents and members of the Omonoia and KEAD delegations at the Foreign Ministry, with whom we discussed the problems of the Greek minority in Albania and the need to address them. Greece is always by their side,” Nikos Dendias wrote on his Twitter account.
As Nikos Dendias points out on Twitter, he was moved when he received the symbolic gift of Beleris, a photograph taken in 1909 showing some students at the Greek School in Vuno, Himara, from where his family comes.

H Ελλάδα βρίσκεται σταθερά δίπλα τους. pic.twitter.com/T6uPeqKw3d
