On January 1, 2025, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America rang in the new year at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York, New York, where he celebrated the Divine Liturgy alongside the Archimandrite Chrysostomos Gilbert.
The Archbishop and Fr. Elias Villis, Chancellor of the Archdiocesan District, each addressed the parish faithful, offering them warm wishes for a faithful and joyous new year.
After the service, His Eminence swore in the Cathedral’s new parish council, and the parishioners celebrated the new year with a traditional Vasilopita.
