New Year’s Carols bring festive joy to the Archdiocese of Crete

New Year’s carols were sung to His Eminence Archbishop Evgenios of Crete by choirs and musical ensembles from various organizations, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese of Crete. Through this cherished tradition, the singers announced both the great Feast of the Circumcision of the Lord and the arrival of the New Year 2026.

The carols were performed for the Archbishop by the choir of the 44th SDI–SEAP, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Heraklion, the Cretan Traditional Dress Association (Omilos Vrakoforon Kritis), as well as many children. Throughout the day, Archbishop Evgenios warmly received the good wishes of numerous devout faithful who visited the Archdiocese.

Archbishop Evgenios of Crete, together with Bishop Methodios of Knossos, the Protosyncellus Fr. Bartholomew Vogiatzoglou, and the clergy and lay staff serving at the offices of the Holy Archdiocese of Crete, expressed heartfelt thanks to all who visited for their love and greetings. In return, he offered his prayers and best wishes that the new year may be blessed, peaceful, and filled with joy in the grace of the Lord.
