On Thursday, October 30, 2025, the newly elected Metropolitan of Dryinoupolis, Pogoniani and Konitsa, Alexios, paid an official visit to the the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople.
The new shepherd of this historic Metropolis of Epiruss, one of the ecclesiastical provinces in Greece under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Throne, known as the “New Lands”, sought and received the blessing and paternal good wishes of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew prior to his enthronement.
The Patriarch warmly congratulated Metropolitan Alexios on his worthy election and wished him a fruitful and grace-filled ministry in his new archpastoral duties.
