The Metropolis of Apollonia and Fier of the Orthodox Church of Albania had, until now, operated without an episcopal residence.
With the support of the late Archbishop Anastasios, the contributions of the faithful, and the efforts of many years, the Metropolis has finally acquired its own Episcopal Residence. The inauguration was recently officiated by Metropolitan Nikolaos of Apollonia and Fier.
The Metropolitan celebrated the blessing of the new building, in the presence of clergy and faithful who gathered to express their joy at this important development for their local Church.
In his remarks, Metropolitan Nikolaos emphasized the decisive role played by the late Archbishop Anastasios, who supported the construction of the residence in multiple ways. He also highlighted the heartfelt dedication and assistance of the Orthodox faithful whose efforts brought this project to completion.
