Archbishop Elpidophoros of America has appointed the Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne, Fr. Gregory Stamkopoulos, as the new Director of the Department of Greek Education of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
This appointment follows the resignation of Dr. Anastasios Koularmanis, who stepped down from the position for personal reasons.
Fr. Gregory Stamkopoulos brings to this role a distinguished record of service, academic accomplishment, and a steadfast commitment to the promotion of Hellenic education, culture, and Orthodox Christian values across the United States. As Director, he will lead the Department’s efforts to strengthen Greek language and cultural education, support the schools and teachers of the Archdiocese, and develop new initiatives that honor the rich legacy of Hellenism in the Diaspora.
