Initially, Metropolitan Narcissos of Accra was elected Metropolitan of Nafkratis, retaining the position of Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria.

Archimandrite Markos Theodosis was elected Bishop of Kisumu. The post was left vacant after the passing away of the late Bishop Athanasios.
Archimandrite Germanos Galanis, who served in the Metropolis of Ierissos, was elected Bishop of Tamiathus.
After the establishment of the Holy Diocese of Toliara and Southern Madagascar, the Holy Metropolis of Madagascar was renamed “Holy Metropolis of Antananarivo and Northern Madagascar.” The Holy Diocese of Bukoba was re-established for pastoral reasons and Bishop Agathonikos of Arusha acts as Locum Tenens. A new eparchy of the Throne was established, under the title of Holy Diocese of Eldoret located in Kenya.
