Οn Sunday, May 12, the Metropolis of Nea Ionia and Philadelphia celebrates the congregation of the Miraculous Icon of Virgin Mary Diasozousa (the Savior) from Sparta, Asia Minor, and all the honored Saints of Ionia, Cappadocia, Pisidia and Philadelphia.

Ιn the frame of the event, on Friday, May 10, at the Holy Metropolis of St. Anargyroi, a festive Vesper was held, at the end of which the relics of the Saints that were kept at the Churches of the Metropolis were welcomed by Metropolitan Gabriel of Nea Ionia.

The Holy Relics were placed in the center of the Church, with the Holy Icon of Virgin Mary the Savior, which is preserved at Saint Anargyroi Metropolitan Church, in dominant position.

Today, in the afternoon, the Great Festive Vesper and later the Mystery of Holy Unction shall be held, presided by Metropolitan Gabriel.

On Sunday of Myrrh Bearing Women (Myroforai), in the morning, Metropolitan Gabriel shall perform the Panegyric Holy Service and then the litany of the Holy Relics around the Metropolitan Church.

It is also worth mentioning that the Holy Relics shall remain for veneration at the Metropolis until Wednesday, May 15.
