Events celebrating the October 28 national holiday for Ohi Day, which marks Greece’s entry into WWII, were underway throughout Greece on Monday. The focus of the celebrations is the grand military parade underway in the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki, attended by President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos.
Thessaloniki has a triple three-day celebration on Oct. 26-28, marking the feast of its patron saint, Agios Dimitrios, the anniversary of its liberation in 1912 and finally ‘Oxi’ Day.
