Gregory Manzuk, Director of Programs of the International Orthodox Christian Charities, visited Poland on March 16–17, where he was received by Metropolitan Sawa. The visit formed part of a broader trip focused on monitoring IOCC’s ongoing activities in Ukraine and preparing future support projects, including initiatives for refugees in Poland.
For the past four years, IOCC has been cooperating with the Orthodox Metropolitan Center of Mercy ELEOS, jointly implementing numerous humanitarian initiatives. These have included language courses, support for small businesses, and integration activities, benefiting thousands of people.
During the meeting, participants discussed current social, economic, and spiritual challenges, as well as the role of Christian organizations in addressing them. The cooperation between IOCC and ELEOS was positively evaluated, with both sides highlighting opportunities for further development, particularly in assisting refugees and vulnerable populations.
As part of his visit, Gregory Manzuk also met participants of Polish language courses organized by ELEOS in Warsaw and took part in a working meeting dedicated to strengthening future collaboration between the two organizations.
