On Saturday, August 2, 2025, Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland received a group of monks from the Docheiariou Monastery of Mount Athos who were visiting Poland.
Archbishop Abel of Lublin and Chełm and Konstantin Savel, a benefactor of the Holy Metropolis of Lublin and Chełm, were also present at the meeting.
The discussions focused on contemporary challenges facing global Orthodoxy. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of Mount Athos monasticism as a model of spiritual unity and communal life within the Orthodox Church.
