On July 22, 2026, the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, who is continuing his pastoral and working visit to Cyprus with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow, visited the Holy Metropolis of Morphou of the Church of Cyprus.
At the headquarters of the Metropolis, in the village of Evrychou, the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations was warmly welcomed by Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou.
On the same day, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk visited the dependency of the Holy Monastery of Kykkos in Nicosia, where he held a fraternal meeting and fellowship with the Abbot of the Monastery, Metropolitan Nikiforos of Kykkos and Tilliria.
Concluding his stay in Cyprus, the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations met with Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol and, accompanied by the Metropolitan, visited the Cathedral dedicated to the Most Holy Theotokos.
During the meetings, various issues concerning inter-Orthodox relations were discussed.
