Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, met on July 6 with Natalia Bocharova, Secretary General of the International Organization for the Russian Language.
Also participating in the meeting were Deputy Secretary General Alexander Volkov and the organization’s Press Secretary, Anna Rubanova.
During the discussion, the participants exchanged views on current issues related to the preservation of Russia’s classical cultural heritage and the promotion of the Russian language abroad.
The meeting focused on the importance of supporting Russian-language education and cultural initiatives internationally, as well as strengthening efforts to preserve and promote the rich literary and cultural traditions associated with the Russian language.
The interlocutors also highlighted the role of international cooperation in fostering cultural dialogue and ensuring that future generations remain connected to the Russian linguistic and cultural heritage.
