On Thomas Sunday, Elder Metropolitan Dimitrios of the Princes’ Islands presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Church of Saint Demetrios in Prinkipos, continuing the Paschal celebrations with solemnity and joy.
Earlier, on Friday, April 17, the Metropolitan led the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Life-Giving Spring. The service was enriched by the chanting of a group of 100 students from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, under the direction of Professor Marios Moutachtsis, who also serves as Director of the “Sotir” Brotherhood Boarding House.
Also present was a group of 40 educators and pilgrims from Western Greece, led by Nikolaos Tsiadimos, a professor of English Philology and Theology. Following the service, a reception was held in the Metropolitan hall, where the students offered a musical program, adding a festive tone to the gathering.
In addition, on Thursday, April 16, Metropolitan Dimitrios received a courtesy visit at the Metropolis headquarters from the local Mufti of the Islands, Adem Özdemir, along with his associates. They extended their congratulations to the Metropolitan on the occasion of Holy Pascha, reflecting a spirit of mutual respect and interreligious dialogue.
