Metropolitan Seraphim of the Baltic and Svetlogorsk, who is currently on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, was warmly received by Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and All Palestine.
During their conversation, the hierarchs reminisced about their past service in the Holy Land—Metropolitan Seraphim previously ministered at the Gornensky Convent in the Ein Karem neighborhood, while Patriarch Theophilos served as the parish priest of Saint George’s Church in Cana of Galilee, the site of Christ’s first miracle.
At the request of Patriarch Theophilos, Metropolitan Seraphim provided an update on the religious situation in Kaliningrad and neighboring countries, including Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland.
As a token of their meeting, Patriarch Theophilos and Metropolitan Seraphim exchanged commemorative gifts, marking the occasion with mutual expressions of goodwill and continued cooperation.
