The Metropolis of Sweden and all Scandinavia announced the fourth pastoral visit of Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden to Iceland on December 3-6.
The Metropolitan will be accompanied by Archimandrite Alexandros Loukatos, Head of the Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation in Oslo.
As part of his visit, the Metropolitan will preside over the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, which will be conducted in the Chapel of the University of Reykjavik and will hold meetings with officials and representatives.

Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden’ 4th Pastoral Visit to Iceland

Dear Members and Friends of the Holy Metropolis of Sweden in Iceland,
In the context of the interest and pastoral care of His Eminence, Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia, for the flock of the Mother Church of Constantinople in the Nordic Lands, it is announced that His Eminence, accompanied by the V. Rev. Archimandrite Alexandros Loukatos, Head of the Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation in Oslo, will visit Iceland and its capital Reykjavik, from Friday, December 3, to Monday, December 6, 2021.
His Eminence will preside over the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, which will be conducted in the Chapel of the University of Reykjavik, located at Saemundargata 2, 102 Reykjavik, on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 10 a.m.
The Metropolitan will visit for the fourth time the Northern part of Europe and of his Eparchy, where he will have meetings with State and Church Officials, as well as with members of the Greek Community and the Hellenic Association of Iceland.
His Eminence’s pastoral visit follows the Patriarchal Visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, in October 2017, and the establishment of the Parish of Apostle Bartholomew in Reykjavik, in April 2019.
