The Sunday service of the Third Week of Lent was carried out by Metropolitan Bartholomew of Smyrna at the Holy Church of Agia Fotini in Smyrna.
In his sermon, Bartholomew referred to the meaning of the feast and the Cross, and, in fact, he emphasized that in the life of a Christian, the spiritual struggle is the weight of everyone’s personal Cross.
“That is, to deal with everyday problems and challenges, in the name of God and with faith in Him, which constitute the exercises of the soul that train it and lead it to salvation,” he said.
He also wished a nice rest of the Great Lent.
