On August 30, Metropolitan Arsenij of Sliven welcomed Mr. Alexios Marios Lymberopoulos, the Greek Ambassador to Bulgaria, for an official meeting at the reception hall of the Metropolis.
During the visit, Ambassador Lymberopoulos expressed his deep respect for the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and shared his positive impressions of his time in Sliven. He conveyed his hope for continued strong relations between Greece and Bulgaria, as well as between their respective peoples.
In response, Metropolitan Arsenios wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic efforts. As a gesture of goodwill, he presented Mr. Lymberopoulos with a painting of the Church of Saint Sophia in Sliven and an album showcasing the city’s churches.
