The Metropolitan of Patras was awarded the Grand Commander of the Order of the Orthodox Crusaders of the Holy Sepulcher by Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem. The ceremony took place in the Great Hall of the Throne of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
The Metropolitan also received the Gold Cross award for the strengthening of the Holy Sepulcher.
The Patriarch spoke warmly about the Metropolitan of Patras, praising the love of the hierarch, as well as the clergy of the Church of Patras for the Patriarchate, their presence in the Holy Land, and their support to Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre.
Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Patras thanked the Patriarch for the honor, and assured him that both himself and the Holy Metropolis would be on the side of Patriarch Theophilos and the Hagiotaphite Brotherhood.
