Metropolitan Ioannis of Langadas concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with one Metropolitan from the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine in an eparchy under the jurisdiction of the Metropolis of Langadas.
One Bishop from the Patriarchate of Alexandria also concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with the Ukrainian Metropolitan.
It is recalled that, during the last meeting of the Standing Holy Synod, the Church of Greece recognized “the Ecumenical Patriarch’s canonical right to grant autocephaly as well as the privilege of the Primate of Church of Greece to further engage in the recognition of the Church of Ukraine.”
As reported by Romfea.news, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece is expected to propose that the issue of Ukrainian autocephaly should be discussed after the elections for the new Metropolitans in October.
