The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv, met on April 18, 2026, with the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, at his residence in Kyiv.
During the meeting, they discussed issues related to the spiritual and social life of the region.
Particular emphasis was placed on honoring fallen defenders, supporting church initiatives, and the development of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the context of the ongoing war, reference was also made to the role of the Church in supporting society and strengthening communities.
They also discussed cooperation between the state and the Church, as well as initiatives related to youth education and Sunday schools.
