On October 3, 2024, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine held a meeting with Ukraine’s Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications, Mykola Tochytskyi, at the Metropolitan’s residence. Also present at the meeting was Metropolitan Yevstratiy of Bila Tserkva.
The discussions focused on countering efforts by the Russian aggressor to undermine Ukraine’s national identity and preserving the country’s cultural heritage. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the state and the religious community to strengthen societal unity, especially in times of war.
Additionally, the conversation addressed the current religious situation in Ukraine, with particular attention to the ongoing cooperation in countering the aggressive ideology of the “Russian world.”
