Metropolitan Epiphaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine received Emil Bjørn Hilton Saggau, Secretary General of the National Council of Churches in Denmark, and Katja Gunnertoft Bojsen, Secretary General of the Center for Church-Based Development, at his residence on August 22, 2026.
The meeting was also attended by Metropolitan Yevstratiy of Bila Tserkva and Archpriest Serhii Berezhnyi, who ministers to the Ukrainian community in Denmark.
The discussions focused on the restoration of the Dormition Cathedral, which was damaged by a Russian strike, as well as support for Ukrainian communities in the Nordic countries and their protection from Russian influence.
The participants also discussed a rehabilitation project for Ukrainian servicemen at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the development of chaplaincy ministry, and support for veterans and their families.
