Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine met on 7 March 2026 at his residence at St Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery with the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov.
Also participating in the meeting was the head of the Chaplaincy Service of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Archpriest Kostyantyn Kholodov.
During the meeting, they discussed state–church relations, the religious situation amid the ongoing full-scale Russian invasion, countering hostile influences in the spiritual sphere, support for Ukrainian soldiers and veterans, and other current issues.
The Primate of the autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine also assured Kyrylo Budanov of his constant prayers for the Ukrainian state, the defenders of the homeland, and the Ukrainian people.
