Metropolitan of Kifissia: Let us confess our faith with humility and be proud of it

By Romfea.news

The restoration of the Holy Relic of St. Athanasios, Patriarch of Alexandria, was celebrated solemnly today, May 2, in the St. Athanasios Chapel of the Church of Saint Eleftherios in Maroussi, which is under the Metropolis of Kifissia.

Metropolitan Kirilos of Kifissia officiated the Divine Liturgy, accompanied by Chief of the Church Archim. Chrysostomos Stefanidakis, and Fr. Georgios Flouris.

The Divine Word was proclaimed by the Metropolitan, who referred to the life of St. Athanasios and his struggles for protecting the doctrines of Orthodox belief.

“Our faith should not be superficial. It must be profound and we must confess the Orthodox doctrines that the Holy Fathers safeguarded through the Ecumenical Synods,” Metropolitan Kirilos said.

He added: “Let us confess our faith with humility and be proud of it.”
