A letter to the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece was sent by the Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kiev , regarding the inclusion of Metropolitans of the organization of Old Calendarists in the now abolished “Kiev Patriarchate” under the former Metropolitan Filaret of Kiev.
In particular, during the session of the Permanent Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, which began its work on Monday, a letter which sent by Metropolitan Epiphanius was read.
With this letter, Epifaniy informed the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, that the Holy Synod of the Church of Ukraine has decided that all those under the former Metropolitan Filaret (Denisenko) of Kiev, in infringement of the Sacred Canons and the Charter of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, without they having been properly elected by the Synod of the Church, including the old-calendarists from Greece, including those self-promoted as High Priests (Afxentios Marinis and Dimitrios (Chrysostomou) Kallis) as well as all those who belong to the Old Calendarists in Greece, “Have nothing to do with the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and can in no way be accepted into ecclesiastical society.”
