Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kiev and All Ukraine met with the newly elected Ambassador of Greece to Ukraine Vasilis Bornovas.
The Ambassador congratulated the Metropolitan of Kiev on the recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine by the Church of Greece and on the awarding of the Athenagoras Human Rights Award.
The two sides discussed the situation in the East of the country, the situation and prospects for development of the local Orthodox Church of Ukraine, as well as inter-religious relations.
Metropolitan Epiphaniy referred to his recent visit as head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine delegation to the United States and the development of the spiritual education of the new Church.
