Following the decision of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, as reported by fanarion.blogspot.com, the District of Tatavla said goodbye on Monday, January 11, 2021, to the outgoing bishop in charge of the district, Metropolitan Gennadios of Sasima, and welcomed the new bishop in charge of the district, Metropolitan Stefanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos.
As part of the handing-over ceremony organized by the Community, Metropolitan Gennadios of Sasima received from the president and the members of the committee a commemorative silver tray as well as other souvenirs from the presidents of Communities of Evangelistria in Propodes, of Twelves Apostles in Feriköy and of Saint Paraskevi in Pikridi (Hasköy).
They wished Archbishop Gennadios of Sasima health, and hoped that the Metropolitan of Kallioupolis and Madytos would have a fruitful ministry under his new capacity.
