On the afternoon of Great and Holy Monday, April 22, 2019, Metropolitan Nektarios of Corfu, Paxoi and the Diapontian Islands officiated at the Bridegroom service, in the church of Agios Ioannis Lazou, in Mandouki.
In his sermon, the Metropolitan pointed out that unfortunately there are several phenomena of hypocrisy within the Church. Some people approach the ecclesiastical event, only superficially, without being internally restored and without living according to the Christian way.
It is undisputed, though, that the hypocrite condemns himself to spiritual death.
In conclusion, Metropolitan Nektarios called on the believers to experience the saving events of the Holy Week so that they live the glorious Resurrection of the Savior Christ, spiritually restored.
