On Thursday, Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia received the Greek Ambassador to Moldova, Nikolaos Krikos, at the Metropolitan Palace in Chisinau to mark the opening of the Greek Embassy.
During their meeting, they discussed various ecclesiastical and social topics, with a special focus on the strong spiritual connection between the Orthodox Churches of Greece and Romania. Ambassador Krikos expressed the deep respect and appreciation of the Greek people for the Romanian Orthodox Church. Additionally, Archdeacon Maxim Sturza took the opportunity to highlight the ongoing activities and initiatives of the Metropolis of Bessarabia.
The visit concluded with a tour of the Chapel of Saint John the Theologian, adding a spiritual dimension to the diplomatic engagement.
