A solemn Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was held at the Church of the Holy Trinity on November 10, 2020, on the Feast of Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia, a day on which the Metropolitan of Austria, Arsenios, celebrates his name day.
The Metropolitan of Austria presided over the Divine Liturgy, accompanied by Bishop Paisios of Apameia and the clergy of the Metropolis of Austria.
The solemnity of the day was delivered by Bishop Paisios of Apamea who referred to Saint Arsenios, who through his life gave a testimony of faith in Christ that was both theoritical and practical.
“The practical side is identified with the ministry, that is, the provision of services to our suffering fellow human beings. In this way, the testimony becomes communion in Christ with the active presence of the Holy Spirit. In fact, he urged everyone to imitate the life of the honored saint. This presupposes goodwill and patience on the part of the faithful.
In his reply, the Metropolitan of Austria pointed out that his hierarchical ministry always aimed at serving his neighbor and his daily life and at unity of the faithful within the local Church.
