“The new Patriarch, a person with brilliant studies, is notable for his talent to be able to heal any divisions in the body of the Church but also for his love for man, irrespective of origin and religious or other beliefs. In fact, the fact that he speaks many languages is an important asset for his contribution to the various dialogues of the world community, which today is plagued by the health crisis and many others,” said Metropolitan Arsenios of Austria for the election of the new Patriarch of Serbia.
The Metropolitan of Austria also expressed the hope that on a pan-Orthodox level there would be a fruitful cooperation with the newly elected Patriarch of Serbia, Porfirije, for the benefit not only of Orthodoxy but also of Christians in general.
Metropolitan Arsenios also praised his ministry as Metropolitan of Zagreb and Ljubljana.
Finally, he wished him many years and blessings in the Vineyard of the Lord, Who will strengthen him with courage and wisdom during his upcoming term.
