Metropolitan Nektarios of Corfu has been at the courthouse a few hours ago following the case file established last night for violation of the order and the joint ministerial decision by the Prosecutor at the Corfu Court of the First Instance, Dionysis Lambridis, as reported by corfutv.gr
The hearing has been scheduled for May 25.
The prosecutor established a case file against Metropolitan Nektarios of Corfu and Diapontia Islands, Mayor of Central Corfu, Meropi Idraiou, the Chair of the Municipal Council, Dimitris Metallinos, and all those who attended the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Saint Spyridon, except for those who were allowed to participate provided by law.
The relevant case file was established by the prosecutor of Corfu because during the Divine Liturgy – in addition to the priests, deacons and chanters and sextons who are allowed to be present – the mayor of Corfu, the chairman of municipal council and some believers, three of whom, two men and one woman, received the Holy Communion, despite the bans.
