On the morning of Thursday, January 17, 2019, His Eminence Metropolitan Nektarios of Corfu, along with the pilgrims of the Holy Metropolis, were received by His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem, in the Holy City.
The Patriarch of Jerusalem, after welcoming the Metropolitan of Corfu and the pilgrims, referred to the great importance of the Holy Shrines for an Orthodox Christian.
For his part, Metropolitan of Corfu thanked Patriarch Theophilos and invited him to visit Corfu.
Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem accepted the invitation to visit the island of Agios Spyridon in Corfu in the near future.
