The head of the Autocephalous Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius, met Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.
The two men, during the meeting, discussed the smooth transition of parishes to the Autocephalous Church of Ukraine.
Metropolitan Epiphanius said: “Today, during a meeting with the Minister of Interior Affairs of Ukraine, we discussed issues of maintaining peace and unity in the religious field of Ukraine. My position remains the same; the transition process of communities must be peaceful and voluntary.”
On his part, the Minister of Interior Affairs promised that “the rights of the communities will be protected all over Ukraine”.
