On December 19, 2025, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, took part in the Christmas Prayer Breakfast held under the patronage of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
The event brought together representatives of various branches of state authority, members of the government, Members of Parliament of Ukraine, representatives of the All Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, servicemen, families of fallen defenders, veterans, and military chaplains.
Addressing the participants were the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as international partners, including representatives of the United States Congress and Senate.
During the event, the Primate of the autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine offered a prayer and emphasized the great importance of faith during the difficult trials Ukraine is currently enduring. He called on those present to give thanks to God for His blessings, particularly for the preservation of the Ukrainian state despite the overwhelming forces of the Russian aggressor, and expressed confidence that, with God’s help and through unity and faith, the Ukrainian people will achieve a just peace.
