Metropolitan Emmanuel of France was one of the speakers at the Conference organized by the International Dialogue Centre KAICIID (King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center) in Vienna, Austria on “The Power of Words: The Role of Religion, Media and Policy in Countering Hate Speech”.
Metropolitan Emmanuel of France is a member of the Board of Directors of this organization and conveyed to the participants the message of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
The two-day conference aimed at ending the hate speech that takes place in Vienna, under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Austria and the Kingdom of Spain.
KAICIID aims at the peaceful coexistence of religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism).
The Conference was attended, among other Orthodox, by Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain and Metropolitan George of Guinea.
