The Holy Metropolis of Sweden and All Scandinavia announced the falling asleep in the Lord of Presbytera Delphine Lessage, beloved wife of the Reverend Protopresbyter Fr. Maxime Lessage, Clergyman of the Holy Metropolis and Parish Priest of the Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Oslo, Norway.
The announcement reads: “The departed was a woman of deep faith and patience, discreet in manner, and a worthy partner in the priestly ministry of Fr. Maxime.
She endured the cross of illness with fortitude and was blessed to receive Holy Communion just a day before her repose, as a viaticum for eternal life.
It is regarded as a blessed occasion and remains a cherished memory for all that the late Presbytera was able to witness Fr. Maxime receiving the office/offikion of Protopresbyter by the hands of His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia, during the Divine Liturgy on Christmas Day of the past year, 2024; an acknowledgment of his devoted volunteer service and ministry to the Holy Metropolis and the local Church.
His Eminence, along with the entire sacred Clergy, express their heartfelt condolences to their brother and concelebrant Fr. Maxime, praying to the Risen Lord to grant him health, strength, and heavenly comfort, and to preserve the memory of his Presbytera, commemorating her name at the Holy Prothesis.
May her memory be eternal!”
