The Holy Metropolis of Sweden has announced that the sixth consecutive meeting of Catechumens and Newly Illumined will take place this evening, Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., at the welcoming premises of St George Cathedral in Stockholm (Birger Jarlsgatan 92, 114 20 Stockholm). Entrance to the venue will be through the church driveway.
Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden will be the speaker at the gathering, addressing participants in English in order to accommodate the diverse community of catechumens and newly baptized faithful, who come from a wide range of countries and cultural backgrounds.
During the meeting, catechumens will receive catechetical support books in both Greek and English. These publications have been kindly offered by the organization Agape Hellas, through Mr Emmanouil Toufexis. The books, titled A Deeper Acquaintance with Jesus Christ (Going Deeper with Jesus Christ), aim to support participants in their spiritual formation and deeper understanding of the Orthodox faith.
