In an official statement, the Holy Metropolis of Sofia announced that a video is circulating on Facebook that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to manipulate the image and voice of Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria.
According to the statement, the Patriarch did not participate in the video’s creation in any way. The video’s content is not related to the Church’s teachings. Furthermore, the Patriarch does not endorse products or services in the media or on social networks.
The Holy Metropolis of Sofia has informed the relevant state authorities of the incident.
