The classes for the Seminar on Byzantine Iconography of the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea in Seoul, which began on June 4th, are continuing with great success.
Twenty students, some beginners and some advanced, under the instruction of Professor-Iconographer Mr. Sozos Giannoudes, who has come from Greece, have already made remarkable progress.
On the afternoon of Friday, June 19th, an agape meal was hosted for all participants in the program. Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea congratulated them on their progress and emphasized that “their success is due, on the one hand, to their zeal and diligence, and on the other, to the fact that their teacher is an exceptional iconographer and an excellent instructor, two qualities that are rarely found in the same person.”
