The Holy Metropolis of Kitros, Katerini, and Platamonas, as part of its ongoing charitable and social ministry, hosted underprivileged families supported by the daily soup kitchens of the Patriarchate of Serbia in Belgrade for a ten-day stay, from August 11 to 21.
Specifically, fifty children from Belgrade, accompanied by Deacon Fr. Branislav Jocić, were welcomed and accommodated at the Church Guesthouse in Svoronos.
With the blessing and guidance of Metropolitan Georgios, the local Church opened its arms to those in need, offering a tangible expression of Christian love and solidarity.
During their stay, the children and their families had the opportunity to explore the Pieria region, participate in spiritual and cultural activities, and receive the necessary care for their daily needs.
Their program included visits to monasteries and holy sites, the Archaeological Park of Dion, the Information Center of Mount Olympus National Park, as well as other cultural landmarks and attractions throughout the region.
